The World As I See It

The Photography and Blog of Marcin 'Rambo' Roguski
This is the historic battle site of what the Cheyenne call "The Battle of 100 In The Hand." Otherwise known as the Fetterman Battle where the allied tribes of the Cheyenne, Sioux & Arapaho ingeniously lured a command of invading U.S. soldiers away and out of sight from the fortified fort into an ambush of superior numbers (but not superior armed).

My memory isn't what it used to be but I think Rambo commented at the time that the monument to the fallen U.S. soldiers looked phallic. – Eugene LC 1/21/17

Rambo's note: It was Rufus.
